Estate planning is the three-fold process of recording your wishes for your family and your assets at the time of your death, considering the transfer of certain assets during your lifetime, and planning for your possible incapacity during lifetime.
Hermenze & Marcantonio LLC represents clients in all aspects of the administration of a deceased person’s estate. While our client is usually the Executor of the decedent’s Will and/or the Trustee of the decedent’s Revocable Living Trust, we may also represent the surviving spouse, children of the decedent, the estate beneficiaries, or other interested parties.
If you are the parent of a minor or adult child with a disability, you worry about how your child will be supported in a reasonable and comfortable manner after your death. It is up to you to deploy a financial safety net. Your child’s financial safety net must take into account the nature and extent of your child’s disability, and must be responsive to your child’s special needs. Understandably, there is no one-size-fits-all financial safety net.
